Guide to the Old Town Gaol tourist attraction in Dover which, together with the White Cliffs Experience, was closed down several years ago when Dover District Council's finances hit rock bottom. The attraction was located beneath the Maison Dieu in what were originally the cells for female prisoners in the old Victorian prison and also included the courtroom on the ground floor above. The original entrance lobby to the attraction now serves as the Visitor Information Centre.
