Dolphin demolition and the sunken crane barge
18th April 2008

First photos show seagulls nesting in the ringbolts on the dolphin between piers A and B in Dover Eastern Docks. Subsequent photos show the dolphin being demolished to grant easier access to ED3 for the much larger ferries of today. Unfortunately crane barge Ogem One, which was employed in the later stages of demolition, capsized overnight whilst unattended. Final photos show the arrival of the sheerlegs "GPS Apollo" and the subsequent successful salvage operation.
